IITM Incubation Cell taps into IITM's vast and extensive alumni network, to provide mentorship (partnering with IITM Entrepreneurship Forum) tailored to help innovators navigate the transition from ideas to successful businesses.

The IITMIC Entrepreneurs-in-Residence (EiR) are experienced and successful entrepreneurs who volunteer their time to mentor entrepreneurs at IITMIC. EiRs are multinational business professionals who have domain expertise ranging from startups, large ventures, operations, mergers and acquisitions, investment, finance, sales and marketing.
EiR typically commit themselves to spend at least two days a mont. EiR sessions are held between 45 to 90 minutes at IITMIC. Whether the MBA students plan to create a new venture or are actively working in ventures while pursuing their studies (e.g., startups, growth companies, family enterprises, turnarounds, or buyouts), the EiR programme gives them access to experts who can help them refine their questions on the path to better answers, provide insight, and work with them to solve problems.

The EiR and Social EiR programmes are run by the Rudolf and Valeria Maag, INSEAD Centre for Entrepreneurship (ICE).
